High Metallics: Anyone ever used anything like this?

http://www.craft-supplies-online.com...m_nbr=099-1010

???

I've done a lot of rattlecan refinishing in my day, and can do a pretty good job, though it's been several years since I messed with it.

I'm curious how something like this might work...

Not that I necessarily want a guitar that is quite so...shiny and reflective...

Actually, a fellow on another forum was asking about getting a mirror-like chrome finish on his guitar and it got me to thinking about this...

Muddslide, I haven't done any of that, but it sounds as if it is worth an experiment if that is what you are going for. Try the Foil version on a piece of test wood and give us a shout back???? It soudns interesting.

Never tried that either, but I saw this yesterday and it got me thinking.

Metal Specks is more of a traditional metallic, but with larger flakes. Take a look. Very flakey! I'd like to see what that krylon stuff looks like though.

The best looking chrome-like finish I've seen is the Alsa Corp Mirra/Killer Chrome which is available in their Killer Cans:

There's a vid at the bottom which shows the process as well which is worth a look.

They have some cool looking metallic films that might be interesting as well (including a mirror chrome film).
