You missunderstood: The ´59 Tele I posted above belongs to me for over 10 years. I had posted pics of the guitar in a gallery, wich Jim visited at one point. In fact of that my guitar is similar to his, he gave me the short message.

Nice pict of Jim. Thanks,

Not quite enough info to give an answer really.

Do you know where it was made (it should say so on the guitar somewhere)

Where is the serial number located? Base of back of neck, maybe stamped on bridge?

Sunburst 52 RIs have been made, strictly speaking they should be called 55RIs.

At lunch there is a local underground parking lot where I like to sit in my car and play my Tele.

Just a few unusual places..

Rooftops are a favorite.
Hotel lobbys.
The beach.
Freeway overpasses.
Mountain overlooks.
Hiking trails.
Tailgate parties.

Taken it into bathrooms, but never tried to play in one.

I always have a guitar in my trunk, so damn near anywhere the itch needs scratching.

A question on minihum routing

I've long wanted to try a mininum in the neck spot on a tele. Now that I have two teles, I could try it. My concern is, the tele on which I could try it is already chambered. It's a chambered ash body, with maple cap, done by John Mayes of Bombshell guitars. With a small neck route for the standard tele pickup.

Given all that chambering already, I'm a little reluctant to route anymore wood out. Would such a route make a difference tonally? Is this something I should even be concerned about? If I still had doubts about what it could do to the basic sound of the instrument, I wouldn't risk it.

Thanks

All Keystone bridge pups. One with a SD Phat Cat, one SD Model 59 and one Seth Lover.
All have conversions to vintage 4 screw above 6 wide array holes, redrilled diagonal string throughs after doweling, reused ferrules, same location.

Mine were closeouts, $ 129 each. Necks refinish real nice; neck girth a little skinnier than a Squier 51.
