Marc -

I just put one of your bridges with brass and aluminum saddles on a CA series fat tele. The difference is stunning - esp unplugged. You can hear the 2 high strings ring and sustain as the sound decays - right down to when it is inaudible. Before - they were deadened sounding.

My question -

After playing an hour, I noticed a couple strings weren't in their slots - after popping them in and rechecking everything, they don't ring nearly as well - the sustain is not quite what it was when they were over the barrel. Is that normal or is something slightly off with the setup?

Beautifully milled - like pieces of art.

Thanks -

I have revently purchased an almost new Japanese made Tokai Breezysound model: TE100-52-ASH-BTS

The pickups have been replaced by the store selling it with Lundgren pickups. Sweet!

When i touch any of the electronics it makes a click and the hum reduces to almost nothing.

There is practically no background noise and the guitar sound really nice but I would like to get rid of that click.

I've tried running a cable from the amp to the radiator and the click stops but any other amp I've used in different places has the clicking. When I turndown volume the amp becomes silent.

Also when I connect to my computer audio interface.

The guitar has no shielding. I unscrewed the bridge and found a small cable running from underneath the bridge to the volume knob.

If I take out the electronics from the control cavity and place a small jack between bridg and electronics theres no difference.

Somebody saidit could be my body doing something with a capacitator. I dont't know much about stuff like that.

Do I have to ground the amp from now on or can I do something right on the guitar?

Thank you in advance!

The tom/stoptail work fine, & actually as far as cheap hardware go, it's a non wire t.o.m., so that's a positive. My beef is it's ugly as sin. I really like either wraptail I mentioned & don't mind doing the plug/fill on it. I'm sure either will give me the appropriate height to compensate for the set-neck angle (I have both Wilky & cheap wraptail on other guits). That was my intention from the get-go. I just wanted to see if I wasn't overlooking another option.

Highway necks, American Special necks are not supposed to be biflex nor are they supposed to have a metal base for a Tilt function as the American Standards, Series and Deluxes have.

I have a couple Highway necks that sure look like walnut, but upon real close inspection it is color matched plastic, with some filler. Others are more evidently plastic. I guess it is possible some have a wood plug, but that's not correct specifications.

Hi all,

I recently wired up new pots and 3 way switch in my telecaster and shielded the body cavities as well. So far so good if my telecaster is plugged directly into the amp. However, if I am plugged in via a pedal and roll the volume on the tele off completely with the pedal switched off, I get pulsing noise. Plug in directly to the amp without the pedal and do the same thing, all's well. Pedal powered via wall wart, battery, makes no difference. If I touch the amp or grounded metal while also touching metal on the guitar, the noise with the volume rolled all the way off is slightly reduced.
Same thing with a different guitar - no such behavior through a different amp...

So seems to be the amp, but... What's wrong?
