a little tune to solo over
here is a little something to solo over while you read the tdpri...
it took just a few minutes... I'm using it with some kids I'm working with. EDITED: after several requests... here are each of the tunes... read the thread for all the different guys jamming to them... pretty awesome playing! first one in G "Green Onions" First, with guitar Second without guitar Get Ready with guitar without guitar randy bachman on a g string Gabba-Billy! it may be a little corny... Get your spaghetti western groove on Olive Garden SWA-No 'Lectric guitars-->you need to add them SWA-Lectric geetars no solos or leads you add them time to blow time to blow with tenor Funkaloopy! don't come in here unless you have a floppy hat on and some bootsy glasses. kinda old timey quasi blue grassy in G and this here is the easy dog blues in g with harp I started a thread for the tune that easy dog requested in this twanger central too. [a little soul riff to jam over.... there are a couple of mistakes, but I kind of liked them so I left'em But FIRST, HERE IS NEHRU! Palo Alto Calling Elvis at Candlestick a little more challenging kids! overfilled! here is a more country flavored one... arroz "easydog in a" it is a simple blues in a.. just bass, just drums. the second I call "Skully's alien love child with Sheryl Crow" 'Long Distance' HWY 129 sun-shine I think that is all of them... I need some time off to finish some others.. I've got to get some done for some work projects anyway... so, stay tuned... more to come and I still owe 'buckaroo' and 'grits' and one for big dan... here is a more country flavored one... I have lots more tracks on these but thinned them out so there is more room to cut loose

leftyjay,
I'd love to hear your solo's! My only purpose in posting them was to give back a little.... I love playing and reading the tdpri and having some tracks to play over is lots of fun for me... I figured it might be for some of my tdpri bros & sisters.... but, yeah, post away... |

GB - thank you so much for these. Being someone without the necessary tools to make my own I am thrilled to see these. It is harder than you think to get suitable backing tracks, especially ones geared exactly to our needs like these, so I for one will get a lot of use out these and I'm exceedingly grateful for your time and trouble. Can't wait to get going on them when I get home (I can sneak a peak at the TDPRI here but doubt I'd get away with pulling a guitar out!)

Okay, first, is one for easydog called "easydog in a" it is a simple blues in a.. just bass, just drums. the second I call "Skully's alien love child with Sheryl Crow" I have a bunch of songs I'm actually really working on... but after hearing skully's tunes, Jere's tunes, krash's tune, wickedgtr's tunes... I best shut up for a spell... I'll wait until there are only songs being done by techno groups.. then I'll post my watered down super pap. Easydog, there are a bunch of good programs out there to make rhythm tracks... Band in a box is good Arturia makes some software I had to use on a project once... really cool and powerful... but I kept falling into dance beats.. which weren't very merle haggard if you know what I mean! Reason etc etc etc. You can also get one of those little gdec amps from Fender... I've seen them on craigslist for 150.00 or you can just record the tracks or snag drums, add the bass etc. many paths to groovacious noodlin' |
