What was the first concert you ever attended?

Don't know if this has been done. Hopefully not. In my case it was:

Led Zeppelin - Nassau Coliseum - Uniondale, NY - June 14, 1972

The highest priced ticket was $6.50.

My first was
The Chicago Transit Authority and The James Gang
I think the James Gang were the headliners
It was at the Toledo University Field House in 1968

Foghat - Blue Oyster Cult - Black Sabbath, at the Aud in Buffalo, sometime in the late 70's.

Blue Oyster Cult blew the other 2 away.

Black Sabbath is to blame for my tinnitus.

Johnny Cash Royal Albert Hall 1987, I was young. My mum said she'd buy me a harmonica if I'd go, so I was like WTF. I suppose it was better then letting me watch Transformers all day.

Maybe 1965--the Kingsmen ("Louie, Louie") with the Shirelles opening. I am old.

I hate to admit this (as much as I loathe KISS) but it was KISS, Cheap Trick, and New England in '77 at the Pontiac Silverdome.

Saw them during their final concert tour with Freddie in 1990.

Wow, I would have loved to see that - one of my favourite singles of all time!
PS 'old' is cool - how else could I have seen Eric Clapton, playing with the Yardbirds at my first concert (also in 1964)...

Paul Butterfield Blues Band, 1967, at the local high school football field. I hadn't really heard that kind of music before - wow.

I think I was in primary school when my folks too me to Barry McGuire.

Dad took me to Kris Kristofferson/Johnny Cash, as well as Garth Brooks in high school.

First pub show I went to when after I turned 18 - The Holmes Brothers - in a tiny dive in Fremantle, W. Australia. Hooked.

The Cowsills in the gymnasium of a Bible college in East Texas. This was the only case of a real band playing a concert in my hometown.

1960 something, Everley Bros / Bo Diddley...Bottom of the bill THE ROLLING STONES they were all studying or had jobs, performing was still a part time occupation. The show was in Liverpool, I also saw Little Richard around the same time.

Those were the days.
