Led Zeppelin - Nassau Coliseum - Uniondale, NY - June 14, 1972

/QUOTE]

From your sig you are 49, so you went to see LZ when you were 11?

My first was Black Sabbath Brisbane, November 1974. They started in on their first number (can't remember it, big power chords), and all the lights went off. They trooped off stage, light s came back, band came back and started again. Same thing! I remember Ozzie threw the mic stand at the back wall. They didn't do that number, took too much power. That's rock!

Yea. Got the tix for my 11th birthday. My dad took me and a bud.

We were all a little taken aback when the guy in front of us pulled out a cigar-sized fatty.

The Who at Freedom Palace, KCMO, July 2, 1970. Summer between my junior and senior years of high school. My best friend and I got tickets because a teacher we both liked our junior year was so stoked they were coming to KC he talked about it constantly. In those days there were no videos, virtually no concert movies, etc., so we had no idea what we were in for...

I think it was Johnny Winter at Capital Center Landover MD......probably 72 or 73......much of the 70's are a bit of a fog!......I'm thinking Brownsville Station was the opening act which would probably put it in 73. They were awful....ended up playing Smokin in the Boys Room twice....I think they didn't have enough material to do their 40 minutes.

I'm jealous of a lot of you guys.

Mine was Pantera & White Zombie in '95. I was a senior in high school. My friends had a blast throwing me on top of the crowd.

The literal WALL of 4X12s makes me chuckle when I think back on it.

Living Colour, February 1991, in Providence, Rhode Island. I was in 6th grade.

My Mom finished my French homework for me so I could go.

My Dad took me and two friends, and sat reading by flashlight and wearing the blue earmuffs he wore to mow the lawn while we stood on our seats and screamed.

I still have the T Shirt and the poster I bought.

I saw Bread at Palmer Auditorium here in Austin.
It was the fall of 70'.
They were good, but the guitar player (Tele) was out of tune.
England Dan (Seals) and John Ford Coley opened up.

My next show (71') was The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.
They had a bass player who wore a RCMP uniform.
They were all in tune.
B.W. Stephenson opened up, he was in tune, too.
