Originally, Martini's were made with gin, so a vodka Martini is kind of a kludge. I've never had a gin Martini.

When I'm lazy I just pour Stoli over crushed ice and toss in the 3 olives, which really isn't a Martini at all, I suppose.

They have a pretty good life. One owns the rocking chair and the other spends the day on the back of the livingroom couch. We look like hoarders with old sheets and bedspreads thrown all over the furniture. The only time we uncover it is if someone comes over or we take pictures. Yes, Phil, a Whippet. We have a pretty good agreement. Most weekday afternoons I take her to the off-leash dog park as she really loves to run... Then she takes me to the pub on the way home as I like to drink beer.

John the model pose was taken on her couch, where she too spends the day looking out the front window for interlopers.
