You're so spoiled.

I hope you're not going to misuse that Martini buzz by logging off and having a lay down...

Actually, that seems like a perfectly proper use of a Martini buzz.

Find the cup, find the tea. Does that help any?

I found a cup but it was cold. The cup I misplaced was hot so I guess I'll have to keep looking. Damn, life is complicated.

I was hoping you were going to engage in a little PUI.

I must try a Martini one day...

That would be fun, but, you know, I'm not a kid anymore.

Mike, maybe you could get a fake I.D. that says you're 21. Would that help?

Now, if you have something that would make me 21 years younger, that would help. A lot.

Edit: It turns out a Martini makes me feel 10 years younger.
Ah, to be 50 again.

I know I could just google it, but what proportions do I need for the aforementioned martini?

Well Hoodie just start with equal parts of Chilled Vodka (or Gin if you prefer) and Chilled Extra Dry Vermouth. You can mix them in a cocktail shaker or a jug with some ice to get it colder, but strain the ice out or the Martini becomes water diluted. Add 3 olives on a toothpick. It must be three. I am in complete accord with Mike on this. See how you like it.

If you don't like it try again until you get the proportions right for you.

How "Dry" a Martini is reflects how much you reduce the amount of Vermouth in the mix. A very, very, very Dry Martini is only given a fleeting glance at the label on the Extra Dry Vermouth bottle.

There is no absolute right or wrong here, just personal preference which you can determine for yourself by experimentation..... And that can be a lot of fun.

Equal parts vodka and vermouth would be way too much vermouth for me. A teaspoon of vermouth to about 2 ounces of vodka is more like it, although that's a little 'wet' for some.

Mike my preference is for Gin martinis. 2 Parts Gin to 1 Part Extra Dry Vermouth. I also like almond stuffed olives in mine.
