Another take on Daniel Prayed...

Here's your Pop Quiz for the Day...What is the connection between this recording and the version of Country Boy Rock and Roll a few posts back?

Bucko, I think we might want to cool it with religious numbers (except on Sunday). That "3 Nails" got posted by mistake today; it was supposed to have been in the Jimmie Davis tribute.
Anyhows, great selections and great music!

Just ran across these and had to share.

Many denominations do not approve of those things. Why?
My Dad was raised in a family like that: No playing cards, no dancing, no girls....
Fortunately he turned out well (as you have).

I got the strangest vibes from Shelby when I saw her a few weeks ago.
(watch yosef, thin ice going on down..) She is like doing everything she can to make herself look physically unattractive (that doesn't need any help when you are sitting next to your sister Allison, the Hotness!). I mean her hairdo looked like the Dilly Bar Man, or Howdy Doody. I know thats cheap shots and she sure as hell isn't there caring what I think about her looks. I sensed more of an FU to her detractors, and she is all out and open now.

Do a google image search on Shelby Lynne...

It's hard to believe that's all pictures of the same person.

I'm going there right now Ibob. She is no newcomer to the biz, I know that much. I have an old VHS from the 80's where she is part of a Jones tribute and I recall her being/singing/looking excellent.

OK, Bob
I'm back from the google excursion and have to say you called that play right.
Again, I might be treading on shaky ground here, and God knows I love Shelby; but I get a sense of indescribable sadness from her and the ways she tries to cope. For those of you who don't know what a real-life unimaginable catastophe she and Allison lived through try googling that. People should not have to ever,go through anything like that. My heart truly goes out to the Moorer sisters for making music in spite of experiences that send most folks to the looney bin.

Eastwood hair and a Robert Redford smile (or vice versa, I forget). He's just a Coca-Cola cowboy.

This got posted in Bad Dog instead of Music, so you all may have missed it. It's almost OFC, if you squint real hard and imagine some fiddle harmony. I thought it was a lot of fun.

I have been avoiding that song. But now I had to hear it. She did this one too recently and I avoided it too.
Let's make a deal? I can't take no more heartbreak right now, so after this one it's Joe Ely

TGF, I hear ya and that was some really good Les&Mary.
I have gone out of my way to invite other posters to post here, but they won't do it. Maybe because they think their input will be drowned in the flood?
NE4TT is the only one so far that I have seen stick around that was not part of the original bunch. I hope he stays, and others like JayFreddy&Telesaliva, etc who bailed; come on back. Eli is going to be out on Sabbatical, so I know his chair needs filling.

That was hilarious Uncle Buck; I had it playing while typing and it's a good one.
