Yeah, but it certainly effects the way you feel about a guitar. The way you feel about a guitar will effect the way that you play it.
Totally agreed. I've long since got over the fact that my youthful stupid mistake, only now realized in retrospect, probably took thousands of dollars off the value of my guitar.

But hindsight's 20/20. About 10 years ago I used some steel wool to take the varnish off the back of the neck (my hands were sticking). It was at that point when I realized I didn't care about the resale value - there is none if you never sell it. This guitar is meant to be played - by me! So I play this guitar with a passion, and you are right, the way I feel about it does affect how I play, but it's way beyond the color of the paint. And to be honest, my baby's been through quite a bit in the 33 years I've owned it, so I consider it to be part of its cherished character now.

And besides....
"In order to be old and wise, you must at some point be young and stupid"

Cheers,
Doug

Pre - BB King.
A "washed-out" - "Tobacco-Sun-Burst".
With a "Stop-Tailpeice.
I love that early "Vari-Tone" selector!

Alice and Bob have subsets of {1,…,n}. How much communication do Alice and Bob need to determine if their subsets have a empty intersection. In classical communication complexity even with probabilistic players, Alice and Bob need ?(n) bits of communication to solve this Set Disjointness Problem. Cheers
