Bass overdrive build
I recently built a Mad Professor Blueberry Bass Overdrive for a bass player who asked me to build him something. but it's not working. I haven't done a lot of debugging yet, so I haven't totally given up on it. However, I've already started planning what to do if I have to botch this circuit. So, my next thought is to just build a guitar overdrive and switch out some values to make it more suitable for bass. That said, any recommendations on which guitar overdrive might sound good for bass? Also, I'm a novice at this so I would need to know which values to switch for bass. I'm pretty sure it's just some caps. Any help you got for me is great, thanks!

I built my son a Madbean Faultline overdrive; an FET re-creation of the front end of an Ampeg bass amp. It sounds great for bass or guitar. It's the a clone of the Caitlinbread SFT.
Unfortunately, it appears Madbean doesn't sell the PC board for it any more. You might be able to find a schematic and layout on line though. I have the Madbean instructions if you want 'em.
