Totally trivial, but...

...what style of Precision headstock/decal is your favourite?
My favourite's this style, despite the fact I have a pre-'57 style bass. I don't particularly like the spaghetti logo, despite it being the only one I have on my instruments at the moment. This is the same as the first Fender I ever had (1975). I rather liked the big writing - just so everyone would know what I was playing!

Say it loud!

I don't own a Precision (wish I did!), but I really like the bold statement of that headstock decal. It's ballsy!

That's why I like it...

It's 'in your face', but not too much.
Now this one is alittle more restrained...

Probably the '62 J logo

...though the only one I have a physical aversion to is the post-'77 "small font + s/n" style...because so many of those that I've seen are attached to 15 pound dogs.

I guess I like the spaghetti logo the best, but they all suck when Fender tries to shoehorn them onto a lefty headstock. Nothing frosts my butt more than the fact that Fender went to the expense to design that stupid mirror image logo for the idiotic Hendrix strat but won't rearrange any logo for a lefty headstock.

Hmm, they don't do lefties well, do they?

I always thought the lefty headstocks, any model, were somewhat untidy. But then they essentially designed the logo for a righty headstock - it probably never occurred to them at the time that anyone would want it different.

A bit like the original Range Rover. When they'd built the first one, someone on seeing it said, "Where's the ashtray?" There wasn't one. No-one on the design team smoked...

The "seventies" style P bass logo is my fav. Close second is the spagehtti(spelling) logo.
