Bass Pick Up's

Has anybody out there, with a p-bass tried the Duncan "Alley Kat's" from Seymor's Basslines?I have a'97American Standard('62 copy),strings thru, flat wounds, with a'62RI PU,I guess they know the windings to get it that precise. It's not that I'm displeased with the stock PU's,but you know how it is,you're always trying to get a better sound.I play thru a '72 B15N(the best,& I know everyone sounds different)I also have another Ampeg B100R.I use the precision with some friends & we only do instrumental's,I'm not into slap, tap,& popping, but like a nice fat round, warm sound.
I also have a'68 Hofner, that has one or two notes on the fretboard that I wish I could intonate better.Does anyone know of an adjustable bridge for Hofner's?Also does anyone know if the J.Turser Beatle Bass cases fit an original Hofner?I'd apreciate any feedback.Toms68 :) [/i]

I have not tried the Duncans. I upgraded from the American Standard pickups to the "Original 62" which I guess you already have. I was very pleased with the difference, but I understand the urge to tinker.

What do you think of the Hofner other than the intonation problems? Since I'm a lefty I sometimes get the urge to show the world what Sir Paul would look like if he lost a lot of hair, gained a lot of weight, and lost a lot of talent.
