Greatest. Craigslist. Score. Ever.

this morning I picked up an unplayed 2010 Squier P Bass Special (left handed) with one of the new style Fender SKB hard cases and an Acoustic B20 20 watt 1x12" combo for $110! I just had to lower the action a bit, tune it up and it's good to go. I'm not normally a bass player, but at that price it's great to have for recording / jam room.

I've read some fairly positive feedback on the Squier..anyone here have one of those P Bass Specials? I'd love to hear more about them.

I have a RH version in Sherwood Green. I love the slim neck.

i bet that looks great! the lefty only came in black and burst I believe.. I dig the black.. just a hint of metallic sparkle in it. the neck rocks.. I've got short fingers so it's a great fit.

8x10 cabs are for people who don't have to move them themselves

Nope, you just turn it facing the wall, plug the amp and bass, pull the empty E string and the cab goes off like a jet plane

BTW. Are they (8x10's) colloquially called "Fridges" in USA as well?

thanks. I don't think it ever was. the guy I bought it from picked it up from musicians friend (the invoice was in the case, too) to learn, but never had time. he said he never tuned it or had it set up.

I plugged my pedal board into the bass amp last night and messed around with my guitar effects... I've always loved fuzz bass, but I was impressed by how cool tremolo bass sounds. the tubescreamer really made the rig sound much beefier too.

The green is lovely! I'd post a photo but my friend has it right now.
