Help ID this Bass...Thanks!

The lady I helped by selling her husband's Bass after his passing a while back found another guitar last night and contacted me. I can't determine the exact model. These seem to have lots of pup and knob variations according to google pics and info. I just can't pin it down. It's very clean . SDGR Ibanez .........serial number F0117256 Thank you for the help. Once I figure out what it is I can get busy. Picture made the fret board look funny but it's rosewood as it should be and very dark as you would expect.
Kinda looks washed out in the pic. Very sunny here today.........

oops almost forgot. made in Japan........

Thanks

Jeff

I'm not too knowledgeable about those modern day Ibanez basses, they're all the same to me

There have been dozens of models in the Ibanez Soundgear series over a quarter of a century. You come to a low-traffic bass section of a Fender-specific forum and then get all pissy and snarky because no one can identify it within 24 hours?

If you had googled "Ibanez forum" you would have found a specific Soundgear forum within the bass section. But they would have told you to pull the neck anyway. Then you could have gotten nasty with them instead of us.

I came here for help, as always, not a cold shoulder or opinions of a woman's dead husband's Bass being a piece of crap 'cause it doesn't say Fender on it. Have some respect. He was a dear friend and my Bass player for years. I guess this was a back up Bass or even something he put away for the grand kids, I don't know. I'd never seen it before saturday. If you think Im so stupid that I just came on here looking for an answer it 5 minutes with out any attemps on my own to research the guitar your mistaken. My research resulted in nothing. She was calling every 30 minutes wanting to know if I had any info yet. That was the rush. You know nothing of the situation I was in or the back story of this entire event, nor did you make any attempt to offer any words of advise or help in any way, only coming here after the fact to make a sly comment to express your rude ass opinion of me and my attempts to help somebody in a hurry. Even the post' I found refering to the SR690 on the Ibanez forum were the same topic as mine, "what is this?, what do I have?, doesn't anyone have info on the SR690?, Ibanez catalog does not show the SR690?etc etc etc. Nobody there could help and no solid info on-line that I could find. You try and see what you come up with. Be my guest. So I tried on my own to find out. I don't care if it says Fender. That's not the point at all. Im trying to help her raise some money. I sold his QT USA Deluxe Jazz Fender on here a while back and can assure you that even though it had Fender written all over it was no prize guitar I promise you. Adverage at best. That boat won't float sir. I got a house full of Fenders. Most crappy guitar I've own in the past 5 years was a AV52RI. So as far as being pissy, yes the "Ibanez is a Ibanez" thing pissed me off. I took that comment as saying, "what you got there boy is a piece of $#!t that ain't worth posting about and if it don't say Fender you can kiss our ass". As far as your comment goes, sir I would assume someone of your age and post count would be more respectful and understanding of the situation. Your comment should read that" it doesn't matter what brand it is we're trying to decide on a value, to help someone in need, and what's the rush friend?" rather than you commenting that basically Im the Jerk that started all this crap and your gonna make sure you put me in my place.

With all due respect sir, enjoy your little corner on the TDPRI to it's fullest. Sorry I missed the Fenders only memo concerning Basses when I signed on here. I'll save you the trouble of ever having to deal with me again here at the Bass place. Sometimes I wonder how we'd treat each other or what we'd say to fellow members if we ever met face to face. My preacher says that alot to do with the problems we face each day is the fact that nobody has a "filter" anymore. I bielieve that. Folks just blurt out opinionated observations with no reguard to or thought to their effect. I too am guilty of that at times as well...........

Don't waste your time typing, I ain't gonna read it anyway......Have a nice day and I apologize for making a mess of this thread...

p.s. IMMO thank you sir for your interest and polite responce

Jeff

There are a number of them for sale on the internet. Guitar center has one for $399 It appears it is an active bass. Most basses, the higher the number, usually the better the bass. Looks like an mid-late 90's active bass.

Sorry, a lot of us bass players, including me, kind of sneer at Ibanez gear. I am sure they have made some good basses. I have just never played one.

He's obviously humor-impaired as well as pissy and snarky.

His next move should be to post a pic of a P-Bass over at the Ibanez forum, demand to know which of the dozens of Fender variations it could be, and then get nasty when he doesn't get an instant answer.

Good riddance.
