6 stringer on-the-cheap! E-E tuning?? What gauge of strings? I have my eyes set on a $200 Dean 24 fret short scale, to convert to 6'er /

Had its first gig on Saturday. About 4 times a year we do a special show with a full orchestra, used the new 6-string on the appropriate Beatles tunes. Was perfect!

The La Bellas are new to me-- thanx for the heads up
Do the low E and A make full contact at the bottom of the string, the saddles seem narrow there? .

Folks, heed the budget call what this resourceful gentleman did to create the wonderful bass VI. Whether you're 'tic-tac'ing' or doing chet style playing on a VI, they open up a whole other world!!

The bass string tree isn't lined up with the strings anymore, and juts the two strings under it off to a weird angle, no biggie, doesn't affect performance, but I'm just not digging how it looks, so I've ordered a couple guitar string trees. Pics when I install 'em.
