NBD Telecasting

I wanted one of these for a while now and today I could do a trade which would make me the owner of this and so I did.

As it is now it sounds and plays fine but in time I might change the pots and strings since they both feel rather cheap.

I want to buy that bass, too.
1st thing I'd do is stringin' it with flats and aquiring a bridge chrome cover for both sound's and look's oldschool-ness.
Anyway - great bass for the price!

That bass has got a really cool vibe to it. I like how the wood grain lines up with the strings.

That wood grain actually is a thin piece of veneer on an alder body.

Regardless it sounds really massive and you can actually get some very cool sound variations from that big 'Bucker by just moving your hands, in fact the only thing I can't do is slap and pluck on it.

I'm now thinking of placing a white pickguard on it, making it look more legit.

I played a real one once and it was pretty wooly, this new one is more suited for different playing styles.

That pickup looks dangerously close to a mudbucker!
Look's like a great bass.
It'd definitely look even better with a white pickguard on it.

Here's some demo of the Fender on which it is based.
