Short Scale necks?

Just starting out. Plotting to build two telecasters - one for me, one for my 9 y.o. son. Wondering if there are short scale necks available from vendors or as parts from older Fenders that would fit a tele body?
Anyone have an idea of where I might find one?
Thanks!
- Paul

Do you mean a Tele guitar body, or a Tele (slab) bass body? If you want to use a guitar body, then Tim should be along shortly to show you how it's done. His "Hoss" turned out really cool.

Hoss

Thanks!!! I read the Hoss posting last night (LATE!). I don't know if I can find a MusicMaster neck, so my big challenge is to find out if any of the neck vendors sell a short scale base neck. Yes, I was thinking of a tele-bass...
THANKS AGAIN!

Rhomco built my Tele Bass. He can probably tell you where to find a neck or maybe sell one to you.

One way to get a short scale bass neck is to find a used Bronco on eBay.

I got the 1973 Musicmaster Bass neck that's on Hoss from eBay, they show up from time to time. The Bronco Bass neck is pretty darn similar, as it the neck on short-scale SX basses...
