New Bass Day

An old friend who I was in my first band with, got a hold of me at Christmas and asked me if I wanted a bass he had. All he said was that it was an Asian Jazz Bass knock off. I got it today and I'll be danged if it's not a cool little bass. It's got J-Bass pickups and controls and the headstock is cut like a lot of off shore basses. But it tunes up, stays in tune, plays like a dream and sounds dang good. The body and pickguard shape are a little diferent then a real Jazz Bass, but it's going to get serious stage time. It's a red metallic color with a rosewood board. Did I mention that it's light? What's not to like?

As a bonus, he also sent me a ZOOM Bass 506 multi effects unit. Not the best from reviews I've read, but it sounds OK with headphones.

Yee Haw!

Sorry, I don't have a working digital camera, but I'll try to borrow one.
