Kingston MTD import basses; opinions?

Curious if anyone has an opinion on these, I am talking about the cheaper line; single active pickup, basswood body, bolt on maple neck.

I found the light weight INCREDIBLE! I guess that is what basswood feels like.

The neck felt really comfortable. Not sure what exactly felt so good about it, but no complaints.

I'm fine with a single pickup, especially active, although I might have to make some style changes to get used to the location.

Anyone have any input to offer? They run about $775 at GC, that gets you a free warwick practice amp (a whopping fifty cent value IMO), seems a little high but I really don't know.

I had a MTD Kingston bass that I WISH I hadn't gotten rid off...

Which one was It and what do you miss about it (if you don't mind)?

Off topic, we went to watch trinity play at the new jerry jones monstrosity today, and as fancy as it is, the seats are not nearly as wide and comfy as Texas stadium, and getting to it was what you would expect in Arlington, may as well have built it off mockingbird and 35 for accessibility.

I hope those guys enjoy their 2 cent sales tax hike, LOL!

MTD K4, arguably the easiest-playing bass I've ever had.
