I dunno - the pearl might be a bit too much - like a Hawaiian shirt with plaid shorts.

Me, I'd lean toward the white. Maybe something darker for contrast. Funky looking paint job, rhomco!

Looking at a cool paint effect like this makes me want to kill the guy who routed the bass that way.

I hate pickguards. I like the rear end kidney thing. I know it's not true to Fender as much but they look so much better with just pickups and knobs.

Wow, nothing on that should be covered up. Go with a clear acrylic pg,....or a very light transparent blue tint ...........other than that, white is the only other way to go.

I couldn't disagree more on this subject...

When it arrives

I will post some pics with different colored guards just to share the fun. Gold anodized might look real good against the light blue He usually only offers Squire bodies (like this one) for sale but I contacted him and he will do customer provided bodies. I already have three strat bodies done by the same guy. Very interesting color work all in the same vein. This process involves floating the different colors in thin layers on top of water in a big vat. The guitar is first painted in the base color (light blue here) and then dipped into the water. The swirls (marbeling) adhere to the body as the guitar is lifted out of the water. The surface is a touch rough with small clumps in places. I gently remove the clumps with a glass scraper (microscope slide) and build a clear coat over it all. Different for sure but I like a change from all the old school fins/refins I do.

Hot pink or fluorescent pink guard would fit.

No wait! Red and silver like "ULTRA MAN!"
