Crowning file for basses

I just leveled the frets on my SX J-Bass - something that was sorely needed and something that I've been putting off for a long time. It worked out well - there were some high frets that were causing some buzzing and now they are behaving. It is now time for me to buy a crowning file - are there special ones for bass frets or should I just get a two sided file for medium and large frets?

There is no difference

Like you said "just get a two sided file for medium and large frets". Bass frets are a sneakey luthier myth

Remember, you can only get away with this when dealing with bass players. If the guy also plays guitar he's going to catch on and think "ok, he's really giving me a deal here. I know for a fact normal prices for bass players is $300....at least that's what the last guy I had play bass for me told me when he asked for an advance to get his frets crowned".

For you guys out there that only play bass, that's known as a joke.
