this photo was in the custom shop calendar a couple of years ago. i always wanted a bass that goes with this set.

buckocaster51 was able to match the sparkle and will be helping with the body. i did some mods on the body before shipping it to him. here i'm using one of my laser cut temps as a square to line up the bridge:

(note the shop princess in upper left corner)

mamma bought me a nice birdseye neck blank for fathers day. started working on it:

slotting the scale to the neck

slot for the double expanding truss rod

slot complete, shown with rod

the rod and fillet glued in the neck

they are mandolin necks. standard tuning with an added low C.

buck has finished the body finish, and it is back in California:

i've been working on his and getbent's mando necks, and figured i better do some work on this bass neck:
