Thomastik-Infeld Jazz Flats

I just bought a set of these for my Precision after months of trying to justify the cost. Well, it turns they are justifyable. The feel of these strings is unlike any other I've tried! Most notable difference is how much lower the tension is compared to the D'Addario's I had on there previous. They are just a pleasure to play and they sound GREAT!!

At just over $60CAN, it was a tough pill to swallow but knowing now how good they actually are, I'd do again without hesitation. In fact, I probably will when these bite the dust.

Highly recommended!

I don't know how often you're used to changing strings, but you may forget how by the time these might - and I stress might - need to be changed. They'll start getting broken in a few weeks down the road, then just go on for years.

Having said that, you can certainly get a couple of years out of a set of TIs!

Cheers, Tim

I'm a big fan of JAzz Flats and also of the TI Super Alloy round. That one also lasts and they settle into the sweet spot pretty quickly - a couple of weeks and then they just seem to stay there... far as James goes - the guy was a great player, melodically and rythmically inspired and maybe bi-polar ?
He's not the guy I would turn to for advice when it comes to gear and maintenance ... not Jaco either ...

"No lows, no highs, must be TIs!"

There, don't you feel better?

Cheers, Tim (who has 'em on his bass and likes them!)

The TIs flatwound are what I use on my Dearmond Starfire. Sounded so good I never came back to a standard set. And they last and last and last...
