Lots of different companies had "stage series" in model names. Is it a Vestor?
Regardless, it's most likely from Japan or Korea (unless it's new enough to be from China, India or Indonesia!). I reckon if it works well, it's a keeper, and if it doesn't, it's kindling... Cheers, Tim |

Tim's probably on the right track. There was a Korean company that put out guitars and basses under the name Vester, and their biggest seller was called the Stage Series. This was late 80s - early 90s if memory serves. But the Vester logo script and the headstock shapes were probably way too close for Fender's legal department. I don't know what went on behind the scenes but the later models were just called Stage Series without the Vester name.
Of course that doesn't mean some other company couldn't have used the name too. |
