My 1st Bass Jam Session

you guys know from a previous thread that i got a bass about five weeks ago. so after lots of practice, i called up a couple of my guitar playing buddies to set up a jam session so i could see how i would sound with other players. i'm still very basic...mostly just the root note of the chord, but i do have a couple of 'walks' and 'turnarounds', but i think i sounded pretty good. my two pals thought so, too (and they'd tell me if i played like crap). but the main thing was that i had a blast.

we ran through about a dozen numbers (some 4-5 takes, some one-and-done)
my favorites: "Back in the USSR", "Drive My Car", "Take It Easy" and (don't laugh) "I Shot The Sheriff" (that reggae groove was a LOT of fun to play)

so, though i'm still a guitar guy first, i might just find my place with the bass.
thanks for your encouragement here guys. it really helps!
