Clapton and Winwood

My good friend works for Samson and delivered a wireless unit for Steve Winwood yesterday at SIR in NY. He hung around and watched the rehearsal all day. Steve's guitarist is none other than Eric Clapton. He said it was incredible to be there, in the presence of musical royalty. No Tele sightings to report.

Is this a Blind Faith reunion or something?

I thought it grew out of the crossroads performance. They both had such a good time. They'll play traffic, blind faith, and other EC stuff.

I have to say Steve Winwood still has a great range and energy, (when many others have "to take it down a couple steps", and "slow it up a couple clicks", *cough* Cream *cough* *cough* the police ......)

Winwood is awesome. Plays guitar as good as Clapton and can sing just like Ray Charles. Id love to see them do something as they were great together on the 2007 Crossroads.
