Baritone guitar amp

This may be a stupid question, but should one play a baritone guitar though a bass amp or will a good guitar amp suffice?

As long as the speakers can handle the low end, a guitar amp should be fine.

Some of the best bari-tones I ever heard came off a Dano E-E plugged into an AC-30...

I use my baritone with my BF Bassman head into a Bag End 1 x15" cabinet
loaded with an E/V..

Is that E-E one octave below a guitar? And what gauge strings do you use?

Yep, it's an octave down.

There are string sets for the Danos to do the octave down tuning.

Mine's gone, but another octave down one is on the "build me" list.

They're loads of fun.

BTW, the only diff between the Dano A<>A, B<>B, and E<>E ones is the cut of the nut, so I've heard.

For a Bari I'd use an amp with a 15. A Vibroclone would proabably be great.

So Danos can take the extra tension OK? I heard somewhere that the extra tension might be an issue. Anyone have experience? I just got a Dano baritone (B to B) on Saturday, so I'm a newbie to this. Thanks.
