The Cowboys offensive line never came out for the second half, that's what happened.

take care,
Robbie

The 3-and-outs in the 4th quarter provided some cardiac issues! Glad to be going to GB next week!

Be careful what you wish for....My Packers are playing the best football I have seen in 10 years! Watch out! they are on a MISSION and won't rest until they get that ring...

...my friend,a HUGE Giants fan...

...said that Romo was getting hammered after releasing a lot,and that TO looked slow...he felt the Giants focused on doubling Witten when they saw TO wasn't going to be a bigger factor...in the second half,he felt they assigned Barber to the linebacker,Pierce...where he goes, you go...I don't see a lot of tackles there, but that doesn't mean he didn't flow to the ball and effect the play...any insights???...

That is a pretty accurate description of the game.

Sadly Romo will take a lot of the heat for this loss, but as a team Dallas just played flat. Crayton especially killed them with more than one key drop.

During the game I have never seen Romo vocal about his offensive lines missed blocks, but he was today. He was frustrated bigtime. Colombo and Adams especially played bad in my opinion. Gurode was late with the snap repeatedly resulting in illegal procedure calls on several occasions.

The Giants played a very tight game with no mental mistakes. That was the difference right there. Penalites killed Dallas. Valid penalties, too. No excuses such as bad calls, etc.

take care,
Robbie

...I have a question...

...aren't the Packers the only team that is partially owned by fan/investors???...if this is indeed correct, they are the only fans that can TRULY say "we"...so TelecasterBlooz, are you one of the investors???...

The talent-rich Cowboys underachieved, the badly injury-decimated G-Men overachieved. I don't think those huge Dallas O linemen ever recovered from that 10+ minute drive, which was immediately answered by Eli & Co. before halftime -- they say those long drives wear out the defense, but when your O line is that big (and Flozell Adams that old), it beats them up just as bad, and the whole league knows the Giants will always get to the QB if the pass protectors slow down and falter.

In the end, the Cowboys displayed lots of talent, but very little in the way of character. The Giants gave them plenty of opportunities -- New York's offensive play calling in the fourth quarter was particularly poor -- but the Cowboys just couldn't turn them into points. See y'all in Green Bay for the best road team in the NFC vs. the best cold weather team in the NFC.

I can't wait to see how long it will take T.O. to say something destructively stupid. Congrats to you Giants and Chargers fans. Your teams played with a lot of heart.

I'm no Giants fan...but I always felt bad for Eli having to watch big brother excell in football. But now big bro will be sitting at home watching watching lil' brother. Awesome...but it will all end when Green Bay spanks the little brother. GO PACKERS. Though I'm a die hard Steeler fan I love Green Bay and their smash mouth football..Bret Favre is so tough and humble. I'll be wearin' yeller and green all week! San Diego will lose to the Cheaters next week cause half the teams injured..but Green Bay hopefuly will get the ring this year.

Sarge,

Concur! Favre and the Packers were red hot... It's was a great weekend for playoff football however the Giants of NY and Chargers of SD should see their run come to the end this weekend. Everybody wants to see a rematch of the Packers and Patriots in the Superbowl (didn't they meet ten or so years ago in the SB?) but don't underestimate the Patriots. Tom Brady was about as perfect as you could get. Either way, this might be the best superbowl ever. Well, except whenever the Redskins won it....

Glad to see Eli moving on - at least one Manning still in the hunt.

Re: the Cowboys:

What I don't understand is the inability to hike;

And Romo not knowing how to throw the ball away.

true. but he was the state hero of Mississippi for many years from his college career. he had to misfortune of quarterbacking the Saints in the Aints days, when the team was so bad the fans wore bags over their heads. he still racked up some impressive stats (though one of his records was taking more sacks than anyone in NFL history) and was elected to the Hall of Fame.
