VH1 Classic and Classic Albums

Best channel on TV and best show on TV. Anyone ever watch??
I have learned so much from watching Classic Albums, especially on tracking and production. I watch them all, even on albums I don't like. I HIGHLY recommed this show if you havent seen it!!!!!

Yeah Andy I agree. A couple months ago I updated my satelite package to include VH1C. I think the first episode of Classic Albums i saw was "Dark Side Of the Moon". Now the first thing I do when I get home from work is check the on screen listings for the VH1C channel to see if one I haven't viewed is showing that evening. The channel (VH1C)far overshadows the other 600 channels of sh@t IMHO.

I've seen a couple and they are very interesting and give you a whole new sense of the album in question, even if you've heard it a hundred times. The one for "Electric Ladyland" is available online here: http://www.bedroommedia.com/videos.php?id=4956

I have recorded all the Classic Albums shows they showed in 2007.

The DSOTM Hendrix and Zappa ones were my favs but they were all good.

Being an old time recording studio engineer before digital this show it my all time favorite.

I think the Zappa one is my favorite. And I didnt really ever listen to him until I saws that episode. By far one of the most innovative musicians ever!!

I love the looks in some of these folks eyes as the remember recording the album..Some times they are almost brought to tears.

When Ruth Underwood played the vibes that was awesome.

Ya its a blast to see the engineers come back 20-30 years later and pull up the sliders on the mixing board and hear those tracks again.

I liked the stuff they didnt use on Zombywolf that the Ikettes sang it was so funny!

The Who's Next one is great too. As good as DSOTM.

hey, happy time harry...thanks for the great clip of Pete solo!

there was a thread here a week or so back about favorite rhythm guitarists, and Townshend was on almost everybody's list. you can sure see why. wish that performance was available on cd. that's good stuff.
