The Giants' secondary is depleted and Dallas has both TO and Terry Glenn back, both at more or less full speed. Look for Romo to light it up. Everybody else is healthy. Dallas is the better team, as they've shown twice already this season. Dallas could be in trouble if Romo has another clunker, because if he's off and throwing INT's, they could lose to anyone. My bet is it won't happen.

Didn't we go through this same nonsense a couple of years ago with some other young QB? Seems like it was the exact same situation.
Would anyone be talking about this if his girlfriend wasn't a celebrity? I'm sure that Everyone can relate to the boost of confidence you get when you know that someone's rooting for you. So would it even be worth mentioning if his girlfriend was just some cute girl from his hometown that nobody knew? I'm sure he'd want her in the stands too.

If she's playing Center, yes. Otherwise, no.
Frankly, I don't see why everyone else thinks she's so hot. Imagine having to look over the breakfast table at that ugly mug every morning. YUK! |

Yeah, while I'm not a fan of her music or acting, I think she's a lovely young woman...
Cheers, Tim

I hate the Cowboys. But I don't see anyone ever making an issue with other QBs girlfriends or wives at their games. How many times has someone taken issue with Brett Favre's wife being at the game?
Now if she was singing the national anthem before the game then we might have an issue.

You can't pin this one on Romo.
The Dallas receivers and offensive line all looked horrible today. Dropped passes....horrible blocking..... Romo took a beating today like I have never seen before. take care, Robbie

That was the sorriest clock managing by the officials I have EVER seen in an NFL game. What was the deal with 34 seconds before the half, they STOPPED the clock? What the heck!? The Giant receiver did NOT go out of bounce. Yet that stopping the clock allowed the Giants to tie up the game with five more plays. Scandlous I tell you.
But The Cowboys did not look like Superbowl material this year, so it matters not. |

They are a very young team and Romo has no where NEAR the diverse teammates around him that Aikman had in the 90's. I'm sorry but teams don't fear the running game of Dallas. Barber is okay, Julius Jones needs to be cut or traded, but they don't have that dominating running back that makes teams have to really prepare for. All year long teams have game planned Dallas by focusing on shutting the passing game down. This current Cowboys team relies too much on Romo. There is way too much pressure put on him to carry the team. Jerry Jones needs to trade both his 1st round picks to Parcells in Miami in return for Miami's first overall choice and draft Darren McFadden. take care, Robbie

...I don't have cable...
...so I have to monitor games on-line...Robbie W said Romo got beat up,but it looks like he was sacked just twice, and of course,he could have been hit a lot after releasing...what did the Giant's "D" do any differently in the second half???,as Barber looked like he owned the Giant's in the first half...they must've made some major adjustments...kudos to Coughlin, win or lose the next game,he's certainly had his team ready to play, and the second half defensive adjustments reflect that positive coaching,yes???...and Randy,no Eli meltdown,as you predicted,as I don't see that he threw a pick...maybe he's growing up before our eyes...one more game in front of him,we'll see, huh???

Kudos to Eli for managing the game well. You know, all season it has been a situation where if Romo put up wicked numbers the Cowboys won, but when he didn't put up so good of numbers they lost or barely won. It shouldn't be that way. They shouldn't live or die by his performance alone. Aikman in the 90's hardly ever have a QB rating over 80 in any game. I think his career QB rating is somewhere in the 80's. But if Romo plays a game and doesn't throw for 300 yards and 4 TD's with a QB rating of 110, the fans all scream "what is wrong with Romo!". Do we really want to go back to 5-11 seasons with guys like Quincy Carter, Chad Hutchison, or has beens Testaverde and Bledsoe at QB? The Cowboys will only get better with time. But I do think Jerry Jones may be a little less tolerent of one and done playoff exits. take care, Robbie

Dallas changed their whole offensive approach today. They went from slinging it on any down for big plays all season to running every 1st and 2nd down today, only to throw desperation 15 yarders on 3rd down. That conservative gameplan played right into the Giants' hands. The Giants want to play conservative and have a 17-14 game or a 21-17 game.
Barber is "okay"? He made the Pro Bowl this year as a second string running back. Julius Jones is a free agent and will be allowed to sign elsewhere. However, I wouldn't draft McFadden. Have you seen his legs? They're toothpicks, and he will have knee problems after a few years in the NFL, just like Robert Smith, another good running back with chicken legs. They need to make Barber the starter and draft a stud RB in the 2nd or 3rd round to back him up and maybe take over in a few years. They could pick up either a star CB, LB, or a couple O-linemen. Other than that, they've got to get their heads together, mostly Romo and the coaches. The fact that they were inconsistent and undisciplined killed them this year. The talent was there. |

My problem with Julius Jones is that he goes down SO easy. All a tackler has to do is touch him and he goes down. Very little second effort yardage out of him. I blame the Cowboys O Line more than any other part of the team for the loss today. Just pathetic. That translated into all the 1st and 2nd down run plays resulting in zero yards and then Romo running for his life in third and long situations. Crayton made some really costly mistakes as well today. I really like the addition of Jason Garrett to the coaching staff and I think he is going to be a great head coach someday, but his game planning over the past few games has left me scratching my head. But the media will make sure that Romo catches all the heat for this loss.....and that stinks. take care, Robbie

As much as I hate the Cowgirls, I agree; it is the epitome of stupidity to blame the loss on Romo going to Mexico. The fact is that the Giants are just playing really good football right now.
I know that the Packers smoked the Giants earlier in the season, but the Giants are a much improved team compared to Week 2 of the regular season. But having said that I think the Pack will find a way to win. It won't be a 22 point win like yesterday, but I still think The Pack can git 'r' done.

The Giants defense was struggling because Strahan held out at the start of the season. Next week will be very different.
People shouldn't pick on Romo any more than they should pick on Peyton Manning. Both QB's best recievers were injured so it wasn't the same team that could contend for a Super Bowl. The same thing could happen to Brady on one play next week.

They hadn't played a decent game in three and a half weeks ...the last 3 weeks Romo had 1 touchdown & 5 interceptions, & had fumbles (although none were lost)...with quaterback rating of 22.2 , 81.2 , & 34.9...
He got paid & got nookie, and hasn't played worth a S##t since... The Giants came in on a roll, I didn't give the Cowboys a chance of winning this'n... |

I'd almost like to see a Chargers / Giants Super Bowl and have Eli Manning beat the Chargers... That would be sweet and I could rub it in to all the Charger fans here in San Diego! LOL I am not a Charger fan at all, in fact I would rather sandpaper a bobcats butt in a phone booth than ever root for the Chargers... But that said.... gotta pull for Green Bay...

My My
Romo lost his cool in the second half. Watch the tapes. He's a good quarterback in his second playoff game. He needs more experience. Once the Gmen started to hit him, he kind of got a little flaky. That'll pass and he will be back to being talked about like a star again. The loss is squarely in the hands of his receivers. They dropped critical passes with chances to score.
His trip to Mexico is only an issue because the news people are bored. How about some love for Eli? Not the greatest stats but he's getting the job done. Beating Green Bay in Lambeau, well there's a job for superman. The Chargers are beat up pretty bad. I wouldn't expect much out of them against the Pats.
