I converted my Ibanez GAXB to eight string
Well I have been toying with the idea of converting one of my basses into an eight string, I had the Schaller bridge lying around and just needed the opportunity to do so.
So yesterday I took my screw driver and drill and converted my medium scale Ibanez. ![]() ![]() Yup there's a little SNAFU at the tuner of the octave G string tuner. ![]() ![]() The reason I chose my Ibanez was because it was my cheapest bass and because I knew it would end up looking like one of Doug Pinnick's eight string basses.

Well you guys here's the soundfile. I played a little Kings-X style rock based on "It's love" the guitar is my SG/Telecaster Hybrid which is my main guitar for recording since it's so versitile. The Drums are MIDI.
