If I had to make a list of the QB's who could win next year it would be:
1) Brady
2) P. Manning
3) Romo
4) Palmer
5) Big Ben
6) McNabb
7) Favre
8) Brees
9) Garrard
10) E. Manning
I like Drew Breese. I think San Diego made a mistake in trading him.

McNabb suffered the same thing as Eli- a bad team mate who undermined him and put his own interests before the teams.

So far, Aaron Rodgers seems real injury prone

no disrespect there, just a description of what I see... Seattle fans have watched him much more closely so you may know more.
Therein lies the problem......many people know nothing of Seattle and Hasselbeck except waht they see on Sportscenter....and that's not much! The East Coast bias is very strong against smaller market, west coast teams. Don't believe me? Just watch and listen to the broadcasters/sportscasters.

Yeah, without Holmgren, perhaps Matt would not have had much of a career...perhaps he would have. One things for sure, it would not have been in Green Bay! Holmgren saw enough in him though to hand pick Matt for the Hawks. There were growing pains, but he has developed ( I can here the laughs and gufaws coming ) into one of the top QB's in the league. Not only stat wise, but smarts, guts, moxey and the ability to make the big play when it counts.

He seems to be known most for the "We want the ball, we're gonna score" comment in an overtime playoff game against Green Bay a few years ago. The subsequent interception for a TD by Al Harris lost the gaame. What mst don't realize is his pass was exactly where it was supposed to be...the receiver ran the wrong route. The cool thing about Matt is, he took the responsibility and never threw the receiver under the bus. His teamates love and respect him.

Looking forward to Saturday to see one of my favorite all time QB's in Favre and my favorite local QB in Matt. Should be a great, great game.

I'd rather see Seattle win than take a chance on the Giants meeting Brett when he goes crazy.

BB, I have no doubt the guys in GB know more about their team and you guys in the PNW know way more about the Hawks than folks not in your area where you see every game etc.

I didn't mean it in a 'bad way' about MH... Holmgren is brilliant he clearly saw that he could get it done with Hasselback... He's had a great year... this weekend should be good watching!

I like Brees too, but San Diego didn't trade him. He was a free agent and had just been injured and had shoulder surgery. San Diego did make him an offer, but they weren't sure he'd be able to come back from his injury and Brees wasn't happy with the offer, so he went elsewhere. Brees bounced back with a good season in NO, but Rivers is developing as well. Did the Chargers make a mistake? Hard to say, they probably couldn't keep both guys for very long at their salaries.

I just had to click on this thread, to find out what "NFL QB" ment.

My guess is "National Football League Quarter Back". Am I close?

Oh man...no offense taken! I knwo it's hard for fans outside their own city
( unless they are football crazy like i used to be in my 20's and could name every player, starter and backups, on every team! ) to know much about the players on other teams. Especially teams like the Hawks that fly somewhat under the radar.

Holmgren pretty much put the offense on Matt's shoulders mid-way through the season as the ground game was putrid. The fact they had such a successful season with virtually no ground game speaks volumes about the type of year Matt had and what a great leader he is. It will be interesting to see if the air attack can keep it up through the playoffs. Usually, a lack of a ground game is the kiss of death come playoff time. Seattle D has been very good all year though, so I hope they can at least keep em in the game.

I was listening to the local sports radio show today on the way to work and 3 out 4 of the commentators picked Green Bay to win the game. I love the way Green Bay and Favre are playing right now. Fun team to watch and they seem to be hitting on all aspects of the game. Gonna be a good game me thinks! How weird is it that they have to cross Holmgren Way to get to the stadium??! The Seattle/Green Bay connection is huge in this game.
