During the interview he said his parents bought him a sears guitar and amp in the mid 60's was probably one of those amp in case silvertones. He said they paid $99 for it and took a year to pay it off so since they sacrificed so much to buy it he figured Id play it till their ears and my fingers almost started to bleed. LOL

...

For some reason that clip reminded me of the "Formula 1 paddock band" with Eddie Jordan on drums and Damon Hill on guitar ! (that was before F1 became too "professional" ... ) ...

Go to youtube and enter Huckabee Bass. Lots of videos of his band "Capital Offense" you get to see them perform Freebird. Also there is an hysterical "pop-up video" treatment of one of their performances.

He plays better than I thought he would.

He played bass for me one time about 10 or 15 years ago, the first time he was running for governor. We were playing an outdoor 4th of july festival in my hometown in Arkansas.

I didn't miss anything, I just don't care for his bar band music that's all.

ya see, there was this movie called "I Heart Huckabees" and I thought it
was a funny play on words to say that I DON'T heart Huckabee, ya geddit?

I could give WAY less than a hoot about anybody's political affiliation.

i was noticing that... trying to decide if it was bad latency/youtube issues or if my eyes and ears were not deceiving me. it is very distinctive when he's putting down the bass after the number and you can hear a bass slide down...also several places in the video it seems that his fingers are in the wrong register to get some of the bass notes being generated.

i wish i'd have kept the tv on Leno so i could have seen the performance.

Hmmmm....I've never heard of the movie so I was wondering what you meant too. Makes sense now.

This hasn't gone too far....yet... but, with Paul on vacation and the direction this is heading, I'm gonna lock it... a few folks have hedged pretty close to crossing the arbitrary line. Lets just leave this alone.
