I agree.
That black one is giving me a bad case of GAS!

They're nice, but they just make me want a 90s Ibanez Talman even more...

Anyone actually played a DA yet??
The HB/P90 combo really sounds appealing--just wondering what it sounds like since there are none around here locally...

All I can say is that I had a Reverend for a while (a Buckshot) and I'm sorry I sold it. It was a FINE guitar. The guitar I bought to replace it wasn't nearly as tasty sounding.

Reverends are great gits'......The bolt-on necks are so comfy....satin finish maple back is so nice.....the P90s are really good pickups.....These are imports and just like any of the good Korea imports if you look you'll find a few minor finish flaws on some of them....Thats the only fault I can find on these guitars.
Find a good dealer-Elderly-Blues Angels Music-Coonstunes(on Ebay).Order up...don't be scared...I'm rural and there is not a dealer around here for 100 miles....I took a chance and you'll be blown away how great these guitars are.Just buy from a good online dealer.....one who inspects the guitar. You will be pleased. |

Neocaster,
I had a Talman with lipstick tube pickups some time ago. Never did bond with it. The tone was, for lack of a better word, kind of generic. Maybe it was just a bad one, I don't know. I've played a few Reverends and have been impressed by every one I've picked up. Now, the Charvel Surfcaster. One of my local stores had one, at a pretty good price, and I played it on a lark and would have walked out with it if I had the bucks. Later, when I did have the bucks, it was long gone. Very, very cool guitars. |
