It's a great book.

I especially enjoyed the parts about how he discovered jazz as a kid; how he found recordings and how the Police formed.

It's pretty cool that we all start as kids playing along with recordings on a beat up guitar in our bedroom.

It's a really good book in general. It's a great book for a guitar player to read.

Andy's writing is fantastic and he talks a lot about his love for his Tele :)

didn't know what to expect going in...was it going to be a music biz tell-all, or a Police-bashing-angry-diatribe, or an amatuerish musician-who-wants-to-be-writer exercise.

i was very surprised on all aspects: well written in a conversational style, LOTS of guitar detail, fascinating anecdotes from his career (who knew that he actually backed up Neil Sedaka?) turned out to be one of the best musician bios i've ever read (after Guralnick's 2-volume set on Elvis)

One of the best music bio's I've read - he's an excellent writer. He had a very interesting life even before The Police.
