Any Steel Players-Need info on Fender 400

I just found out that my mother still has my dads Fender 400 Pedal Steel under her bed
She wanted to know if I want it and I had to say yes.
I was just curious what you steel players think of the Fender 400
It just has 4 pedals, but looks to be in excellent shape and the original case still looks good.
Are they a decent instrument?
Thanks
This is not a pic of it but looks identical

There are alot of folks interested in those...they have a unique tone...once you hear it, you'll recognize it

here is the fender pedal steel equivalent of the TDPRI

Sneaky Pete played a modified 400..he used a B6th tuning. He had additional pedals and knees....Others use a modified E9...

Have fun...you got a good prize there...

Heres another link you might find useful

Congrats! A prize indeed!

I think they are mostly coveted nowadays for their unique tone and undeniable coolness factor. However, instead of the rods that modern PSG's use, their pull system uses cables, which apparently can stretch out over time, etc.

But hey, if it was good enough for Pete...
