need help deciding
i make too many of these threads but one more ain't gonna hurt i guess.
i have the chance to buy a 2005 MIA jazz bass for $500 with gig bag has one small ding it it. it also has a red tortes shell pickguard which isn't stock is it? i have never scene it on a stock one before thanks in advance |

That's a very good price. American Precision basses go for $700 and up used. Jazz basses usually go for more. I wouldn't worry about the resale value, because at $500, unless you damage it heavily, it will always be worth more than you paid for it. If it sounds good and you're looking for a bass, you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal.

well i got it and the "small ding" is actually a little smaller than a golf ball (he dropped it) and the paint is chiped down to the wood but it's on the butt of the bass so it's not that bad. there is a couple of big scrathces on the back to.
but man does it sound nice. thanks again for the help |
