i remember watching the dusters working the orchards accross the street from my granparents house in Stone Ridge NY when i was about 5. i was really close to them! a couple hundred feet maybe. i wonder what they were spraying on me!!

I was listening to a piece on CBC radio a few days ago about pesticide use and they described how it wasn't uncommon in the past to use farm kids as field markers so the pilots would have a visual marker as to where they had sprayed. I wonder what kind of weevil farm kids are?
