Audley is an bad ... player. I got to see COL in a bar in Florida 2 months after the Brother album came out and they played every song from the album. Ended the set with hand me down. Kelly plays in cover bands in the carolinas. Audley's playing is like Jimi meets Molly. That should be his new band's name, Jimi meets Molly. I wanted to see him with Jimmy and Black Crowes. I have video. What a night the LA shows were.

Audly was playing with the Dixie Chicks last I heard. I look forward to any new material he does.

Love the first one, highly under-rated. Didn't even know about the second one. Thanks for the post.

I play in a musical project with his wife Jen who recently informed me that he is touring with Peter Frampton, and it is a blast.... He plays occasionally at our local pub in East Nashville when he is not on the road. Great player, with many good R&B type grooves as well as classic rock chops to spare...

Brother is a masterpiece as far as I am concerned. It is one of my all time favorite albums. It took me forever to learn the solo on Hand Me Down.... Audley is a very unique and underated player!!!

Kelly Holland is an old friend, that first album was amazing, Kelly was NEVER comfortable out front, he was a singing drummer and still is around the Raleigh NC area, all the best to all of the guys!

Brother is one of my all-time favorites and Cry of Love was a killer band! Mason came from the band Lynch Mob. All this time, I thought it was Oni Logan (Lynch Mob) who ended up doing the vocal work with Cry of Love. I still have not heard any material from Diamonds & Debris, but it has just been bumped to the top of my list. I have no idea why I never bought it, but thanks for reminding me. Their debut was as near perfection as you can get!

Absolutely loved...still do...the first album. Awesome tones, great playing and I really dig Kelly's voice. Never picked up the second record after hearing that he was out. I seem to remember hearing his departure was "suggested" by the record company. Maybe it had something to do with his unease with fronting a band.

This conversation will probably spur me to pick up the 2nd disc.

I'm fairly sure Audley is on the live Crowes double CD (not the one with Page) that came out 2000-ish.

Brother is a great album! Robert Kearns (bass player) went on to play with the Bottle Rockets for a time.
