Suhr Pro Series 3 YOWZA!

I just bought a Suhr Pro Series 3 in "Bengal Burst."

This is my 3rd Suhr and I continue to be impressed and amazed with the quality of these guitars.

The Pro Series is a new line from Suhr that offers most of the same features as their more expensive guitars except that you cannot choose the options. They make a few standard models and that's that. Doesn't bother me any.

This particular guitar was $2150 has a basswood body with a 1/4" curly maple top in a Bengal Burst finish with scraped, natural binding. Buzz Fieten tuning system. Suhr wound pickups. Rosewood board on maple neck. Vintage 60's C Shape neck, 1 11/16 wide at the nut and the tightest neck pocket you'll ever see. All of Suhr's guitars feature extremely tight neck pockets. yadda yadda yadda.

It plays impeccibly well, tunes perfectly and is totally inspiring to play. I used it all night long at a gig on Saturday! I never do that! But this guiitar has the sounds covered.

My only gripe is the cheap, thermo-formed plastic case. That's OK though as it's obvious the savings on the case went into the guitar.

It weighs about 7 1/2 lbs. Just right for me. I tend to be a little aggressive when I play and I don't like playing real light guitars that bob around when I play them in anger!
