Just Hit The Rice Custom Site

Not sure if any of ya have wandered over there recently - lots of new pics and info. Lordy, there are some sweet looking geetars popping up on the screen. Cool pics of the shop and stuff in progress. Vids too.

BTW guys, still having a blast with mine. Every time I open the case I just find myself looking at that guitar for a bit. That has gotta be love.

But Rich/Chris - barnyard blonde???????? Geez.

If you're into acoustics, Rich's acoustic build thread is an absolute must.

I've learnt so much from it, and never realised how much detail goes into the instrument.

I visited www.RiceCustomGuitars.com yesterday as well, and posted on another forum about how two of the guitars they currently have for sale are calling my name SO LOUD that I am scared to go back to the site :)

Thanks for the thread, Zomby! We're trying lots of new things over here.

I called your color "Old Fence White".. Chris must have renamed it..

Honestly, there isn't any cowpie in the formula...

The Rice's produce a great guitar - just like Zomby, every time I open my case, I'm still taken with the workmanship and finish on The Beachcaster - without question, the finest guitar I've ever owned.

That one was going to be my personal guitar, and I can't duplicate it. It took five colors to make the green look like it does. I just can't keep 'em all...

wow, no wonder she's such a beauty! What a great guitar. Whoever ends up owning it will be a lucky person... and sometimes, lucky *is* better than good

In fact I don't see how you guys manage to put all that time and effort into building beautiful, high quality instruments, and then are able to let them go. Of course it is a business, but it must be hard sometimes.

I could not saw a plank in two and get the line straight even if my life depended on it and if I was able to do that, I surely would keep it as a trophy over my great skill haha.

Anyways, I really appreciate he work you guys do, and needless to say, I'm coming back for more.

Truth be told, I can't build 'em without falling in love. Can't keep them all, though. The coolest thing I've discovered (quite by accident) is how much I can enjoy them by seeing/hearing them in other people's hands. I didn't see that coming, it has happened over time. When I hear something that somebody else has created, I have a deeper appreciation of it. It's all good, Ludwig.
