Y'know Get I think Granderson ends up in Cooperstown and I know it's very early in his career but this guy just makes things happen in the big games.
I'm very impressed. I believe Steinbrenner and Cashman will do everything they can to get Granderson, Carl Crawford, and Torii Hunter into their outfield in the next three years.
I know Hunter's deal with The Twins is up at the end of the season and traditionally they don't pay the big buck. Crawford is in Tampa - 'nuff said.
And Granderson may have just signed an extension but I'm not sure.
Three Centerfielders in the same outfield - though Crawford's been playing a little Left this year I think.
For The Yankees and their filthy lucre it would be The Ultimate Coup.

Granderson probably won't have enough pop in his bat to make cooperstown (unless they let Paul Blair in)

Yanks beat up on KC...Bosox won a 1-0 pitching duel against CC Sabathia and the team leading the league in HRs and third in runs scored...I think the gap just got a bit wider, actually!

Boston is 4th in Runs scored right now and 9th!!! in HRs (those numbers are in the AL.... its 5th in RS and 15th for HR which is even worse for the entire MLB)


the red sox may have the best pitching in baseball, but any member of the nation should agree that without Manny and Ortiz hitting the ball, they won't get past the divisional series...

last year manny = 35, ortiz hit 54 hrs, right now they're both somewhere around 15....

next year manny will be gone and arod will be at short... for the sox. (i keep telling myself this so that its not a surprise in novemember)

Curt's INFURIATED me on more than one occasion - but from here on in I think he's gonna Pitch and keep it ZIPPED. He's been forced to look his Baseball Mortality right in the eye this last 5 weeks and I think he'll behave like a total Professional...at least I hope he does.

The Red Sox will finish in 1st place in The East.
None of this matters because whoever goes to The World Series is going to have to get by Detroit and frankly as a devoted Baseball Fan I don't see anyone beating The Tigers. When WE played Them they humiliated us, made us look like a Double A Club.
They're so talented that they can carry a less than perfect Pitching Staff.
Plus - They've got the best Manager in The Game.
I'll root for my Red Sox but I can't see them taking The Tigers in '07.

If A-Rod is juiced then so is Manny and any other player who excels. Remember it's not easy to hit even 200 homeruns in a career, and no one is juiced for a career that spans several decades. They'd be dead before they reached those kinds of numbers.

I've seen this footage too many times, I believe him in his claim he said "ha." Say what you want about that play... no one should fall for it... and IIRC the team went on a 12 game tear following that game.

Theo Epstein's willingness to make a shocking trade (Nomar to the Cubs for example) could do the Sox some good right now. Take your chances with Beckett, Matsuzaka, Wakefield, Gabbard, & Lester, trade Schilling for a good power bat.
