Guitar Centers Platinum Mailer
So I get this real nice little catalog in the mail from GC, and it's all real high end stuff like $150,000 Martin Guitar and $25,000 EVH Replica.
I notice that the pictures of the guitars on stands all have the instruments kind of hovering above the stands not actually sitting on them like they should. Then there was the add for the Music Man Bass:$1649.99, Trace Elliot Amp, and Mogami Gold 25' Angled Instrument Cable:$53.95 Maybe I have it wrong, but isn't the reason for spending more money on a right angled cable is so the right angle come out of the side jack on the instrument? If they would have put the right angle out of the bass(instead of the amp) then they could have set the bass down in the stand with out the straight jack hitting the floor. ![]() Now my big question would be that if your spending all this money on a high end quality mailer for top dollar products, wouldn't you take the time to find a photographer and/or musician who would know how to set up the products for the shot?

ha ha! I'd pay 150K for a giant bass that FLOATS in midair!
it'd probably make sense to go wireless then too! I think the concepts behind the Guitar Center and the concept of discerning customers are not exactly a match made in heaven. |
