just thought it was hilarious yet predicable that the "australians rock" thread ended up being just another excuse for australians to talk about beer.

hence the great pub scene.

Trev, I love that simpsons ep when homer is singing that, thanks for jogging my memory

Anyway, back to the beer...

I just cant bring myself to drink a stout or dark ale at room temp,specially on a summers day, its gotta be ice cold.
Anyone ever notice how much better beer tastes after mowing the lawn in Summer? its like the grass clippings mixed wth the blazing sun make it a thirst only a beer can quench...

Next time you go there, have a look across Johnson St at the asian take-away shop. Above it you will see a balcony that stretches the length of the building.

I used to live up there.

It was great to live so close to one of the best pubs in town......., for a while.

Bands almost every night of the week didn't help when you work nights, let me tell ya!

Plus, waking up to find your flat mate has invited all the patrons back to your place after it's closed wasn't fun either!

But having said that, it was great to walk across the road see a band, have a few drinks and not have to stumble too far to get home!

For me, I was 15 when my dad and I got in from a fishing trip - no fish, stinkin' hot up in Sharks Bay and we were literally encrusted with salt (small open boat + 30knot winds = wet). We slumped on the verandah and he handed me an ice cold VB... aaaaaaaahhhhhhh.
