Superstitious Yankee ballplayer?

Scott Proctor, a relief pitcher for the New York Yankees took his glove, hat and shoes and made a small bonfire in front of the Yankee dugout after a game last week. He wanted to ward off the "evil spirits" by burning up the items.
Looks like it worked though!

Man, that brings to mind the baseball movie "Major League"!!! Funny stuff...
