Liked it, but the end was a little disappointing. I was really wanting SLJ to break the pattern and end the curse, but he fell right into it. So it was like the last frame of a comic book or a cartoon - "Oh, well, here we go again!"
On the other hand, that means we get a sequel............... |

Fans of Josh Bell probably already know about this, I read it and was flabbergasted.

I'll bet if he played on the West Side of Central Park, by the museum, things would've turned out a little differently. I'm loath to measure musical taste from a rush hour DC crowd. Great piece though. Thanks again. |

Add me to the list of people who love the movie. I saw it in a dollar theater years ago, then got the video and later the DVD of it. It made me fall in love with the violin once more and see it for the instrument it is.
I took lessons as a child and I wish I would have stayed with it. The guitar lured me away at a young age though. |

I watched it again last night...
And waddayaknow, SLJ never said MF once...in fact, never even raised his voice. Now I know it was an indie film, because he doesn't bring his 'A' game unless he's gettin PAID.
Just kidding folks...this really is an outstanding movie, especially for anyone who loves instruments as we all do. Just like many of you, I have often wondered about the travels of a well played instrument throughout the years, and I have contemplated where my beloved guitars will go when I am gone. Although this has very little to do with the movie itself, it is definitely an interesting sub-plot... Any thoughts ? |

This is one of my favorite films ever, though I can understand that it might not be to everyone's taste. I've gone through 3 copies now because I keep lending it to people "You've gotta see this!" then forget who I lent it to. I've gotta find another copy one of these days.
