I've been trying to find some info on this matter.
I'm looking at getting Home Rec software, but don't know where to start. Anyone here have experience with this?

Man, that's a canna worms
How much recording do you want to do? What kind of recording are you interested in doing?
There is hardware and software out there for everyone from the casual hobbyist to folks who want to cut their own albums. Without more information on what you want to do and how much money you want to spend, it's hard to give a good answer. |

There's a few out there....
I use Cakewalk...it was fine with a POD but with a real mic I needed a good sound card. There's been a few threads on this....click on the searc link above and look for "recording"

If you just want to start out, and are not sure how into it you are, I'd suggest N-track. Its less than $60, I forget exactly how much, and is really good. You can download a demo for free and check it out. Ward
