I'm a "westerner" working in China right now, passed through Beijing last week and will be there for a couple of days when I return to Canada on the 14th. My favourite music store on Wanfujung Street is no more as the building it was in just got demolished for another new development--they had a few MIC teles similar but not identical to BSB Affinity Special when I was there last year, but I didn't want to hassle with it as airline baggage.

Haven't been. I'm not much of a world traveler, although I have been to Germany and New Zealand.

I wonder if visiting China is like eating Chinese food? An hour later, you want to visit again.

Travelled a bit in China. Flew in and out of Beijing, and visited Gansu Province in the N West. Was there for a total of 16 days in 2004, and never saw a music shop (that included Wafujing)

Does it leave you wanting more? Yes - I'd go back tomorrow if I could.
