Wow Gretchen Wilson does a cover of Heart!

Gretchen Wilson Redneck Woman and Alice In Chains do Barracuda.

Maybe she should do both rock and country she sounds GREAT!

http://www.vh1.com/shows/events/rock...07/vspot.jhtml

Genesis was also good in fact the whole show was pretty good I actually enjoyed it.

...perhaps it's the Wilson in her...

...I was surprised, but then she started singing, and garshk!!!,she nailed all the notes...she didn't look particularly comfortable, but I nitpick,as I think given time, she could sashay with the best of "Rawk-rr" 'tudes...

Im real critical and THAT impressed me. Thats why I went to the extra trouble to show you guys.

Heart is good too Ozzy is funny it was a way better show than these rock honors usually are.

When Wynonna did Crossroads with Heart she was really good maybe CMT needs to do another Crossroads with Heart and Gretchen Wilson cause she sounded just like the original I thought. Probably used the same soundman as real Heart cause the vocal effects were perfect.

Remember when Gomer Pyle used to talk all hick then sing in a beauriful voice.

This surprised me like that. I had no idea she had that rock voice I like her country stuff too.

I think for a female trying to cover Nancy Wilson's voice would be like most guys trying to sing Boston songs like Brad Delp-RIP.

She did do a great job.

I was kinda half watching while changing strings on a bunch of guitars.
So did not pay much attention to ZZ Top's over saturated versions of recycled John Lee Hooker riffs.
But gotta say, when Gretchen Wilson hit the stage with "Barracuda", it got my attention. That lady can sing and Alice in Chains, whom I had never really listened to, tore up the stage.

I thought Alice in Chains really nail that number and I also had never really listened to them before. But boy can Gretchen really belt it out. Talk about power, look how far away she keeps the mic from her mouth. And she really knows how to make a pair of jeans look good.

Her steel guitarist, Gaylon Matthews, over on the SGF said that "Barracuda" is in their set list 90% of the time.
